According to the Club des experts de la sécurité de l’information et du numérique (Cesin) barometer, in the year 2018 eight out of ten businesses were hit by one or more cyber attacks, while the EU Commission reports that 145,000 complaints for GDPR breaches have been filed in the EU since it came into force.
Given this state of affairs, along with the great diversity and sensitivity of HR data, it has become critical for businesses to secure such data, all the more so, that the GDPR lays down heavy penalties for disregarding the duty to keep IT systems secure and ward off data breaches.
Clearly then, the best way to beef up security is to become aware – upstream - of potential IT vulnerabilities.
A partnership comprised of two expert teams
Thanks to this partnership between a major player in the labour law field, and the crème de la crème of French Tech, clients will benefit from solutions designed to boost security for HR data, by detecting breaches in the system upstream and by forwarding recommendations in line with the GDPR.
Thanks to AI and to its unique scan technology, CybelAngel allows clients such as Sanofi, Total or LVMH to ward off data leaks, whether those arise simply through negligence or through malicious threats.
Flichy Grangé Avocats, a labour-law niche firm, advises businesses and entrepreneurs on day-to-day HR management issues. Our firm’s DNA: made-to-measure, predictive advice, and warding off problems before they arise.
About Flichy Grangé Avocats
Flichy Grangé Avocats is a labour law “niche” firm that boasts a team of 90 lawyers, and 120 collaborators overall. Its expertise covers the entire range of labour law, including international aspects. Our firm advises companies and entrepreneurs on major labour law issues including those within the purview of criminal law, with acknowledged high-level expertise embracing not only labour law as a whole, but its collateral implications. Its practice areas include a team devoted to health and safety at work, and teams specialised in state-owned companies and the civil service.
According to Joël Grangé, partner with Flichy Grangé Avocats: “Given the particularly sensitive nature of the data relating to the workforce that will be circulating within any given company, we came to the conclusion that it would prove essential to boost data protection, by offering our clients a technological and juridical approach specifically designed to ward off and deal with data leakage.”
About CybelAngel
Every day, CybelAngel detects one billion sensitive documents freely available on the Internet. These may pertain to R&D projects, client data bases, personal data on a company’s workforce, sales strategy information and sometimes even a company’s IT networks. CybelAngel locates the information the moment it becomes accessible on line, and warns its clients before malicious use can occur. CybelAngel’s solution protects large groups from the serious consequences that would otherwise flow from data leaks concerning entities over which a group itself has no direct control, i.e. its suppliers, partners or service providers.
According to Erwan Keraudy, CybelAngel’s CEO, “with the increasing speed of digital changes, the number of threats due to negligence has skyrocketed. We are delighted to find that Flichy Grangé Avocats has chosen us to help their clients ward off data-loss threats within the GDPR framework”.
Joël Grangé, partner with Flichy Grangé Avocats, comments, “anticipating client needs is in our DNA. We have been seriously impressed by how efficiently their technology detects data leaks”.
