13 law firms reaffirm their commitment to respecting others
The signatories: August & Debouzy, Ayache, Bredin Prat, Darrois Villey Maillot Brochier, De Pardieu Brocas Maffei, DS avocats, Gide Loyrette Nouel, Flichy Grangé Avocats, Herald, Hoche Avocats, Lacourte Raquin Tatar, Racine Avocats, UGGC.In the context of the resurgence in our society of actions and speeches marked by hatred or rejection of others, we believe it is essential to solemnly remind everyone of the values that drive our law firms.
We reaffirm, without succumbing to the emotions of the moment, but with utmost conviction, that respect for others, regardless of their origin, religion, or beliefs, is a fundamental value of our firms. We firmly reject the normalization of any behavior or expression that is antisemitic, Islamophobic, racist, or xenophobic in nature or connotation.
The defense and, more broadly, the respect for the rights of everyone are the core of our legal profession, which we have sworn to practice “with dignity, conscience, independence, integrity, and humanity.”
We intend to strongly reiterate this and support the messages conveyed by the National Council of Bar Associations as well as the Council of the Order of the Paris Bar.
